Thanks to the founders Luciano and Claudio, the company Mocchiutti was set up in 1963 starting to manufacture chairs and similar products. Over the years their children, Fabrizio, Laura, Cristiano and Davide, joined them and in the late Nineties they took over the company in order to carry on the activity their fathers had done so far.
The new generation invested considerably in the technological renovation introducing some numerical control machines into the production system. Thanks to the experience and the skills gained over the years, Mocchiutti is able to meet any need, offering a higher quality, safer and more flexible service.
Mocchiutti’s production is featured by chairs, coffee tables and other furnishing components which are processed with expertise and passion using different wood species. According to the customers’ requests, products are manufactured from an order or drawing both for small and big lots.
An entire room filled up with high stacks of chairs. Each chair has got its own name, its story, and it results from the passionate manual labour of a few people who love how blissfully different pieces are combined together; this family passion is well alive in the hands of the second generation and the firm has evolved, modified its tools and ways of working. They pride themselves on those chairs developed thanks to the customer’s trust in their long experience, asking for suggestions, finding out new solutions and welcoming extravagances and little genius innovations. Here the light spirit creating complex pieces entwines with the regular care used in making straightforward projects assimilated by experience. Here the customer will appreciate finishes, regular work and enthusiasm. Everything pivots on versatility and passion for more and more quality, the real heart of the passing of time.
Even the simplest of ideas often need to be tested to make sure all components and design specifications are functional and harmonious in design. A sample is a prototype of your idea. Usually samples are made by hand by a master craftsman in order to create a perfect sample for future production. For this reason often samples are charged at a different rate to production. A spec is a blueprint of the design listing all materials used throughout the design in order to ensure consistency of future production.
